Sallompt Forest Trail
Brief Description:
This trail is a must for those who enjoy the tranquility of a walk or hike in the forest. The path winds through ancient Douglas-fir, cedar, spruce, hemlock, red adler, cottonwood and maple forest. Visitors need to be aware that Grizzly bears are common in the area during salmon spawning season
Trail Access:
Follow Sallompt Road north for 2.6 km (1.6 mi), then go left down the Sallompt River Road for 1.4 km (0.8 mi) to the parking area.
